Performance – [e s c]

[e s c] is a performance and digital art piece that explores patterns of escapism where the logic of algorithms and social media inspired the choreographic investigation.

In the performance, components from different time periods, digital animations and four dancers transform the stage space into an enigmatic place where past, present and future meet. Our need for pause as humans is a point of departure and the piece delves into the logic of how algorithms and social media transform or change our escapist tendencies. [e s c] explores both dystopian and utopian ideas linked to our need for escape from reality. An experience or performance can be curated using both live and or only digital formats.
